Founded in 1926 by Abe Saperstein, the Harlem Globetrotters played their first-ever road game on Jan. 7, 1927, in Hinckley, Illinois.  From the 1920s until his death in 1966, Saperstein was the greatest promoter in all of sports, making the Globetrotters into a championship team and global icons. The Globetrotters have become the world's home team, synonymous with family entertainment and great basketball skills.

The Harlem Globetrotters have played in 124 countries and territories, on six continents, before more than 148 million fans. (Antarctica is the only continent on which the Globetrotters have not played)

The Harlem Globetrotters play virtually year-round, but a majority of their games are played throughout North America from the last week in December through April. During the rest of the year, the Globetrotters play numerous games internationally across Europe, Asia, Australia, South America - and participate in many other goodwill activities.

In 1998, Marques Haynes was the first player ever to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a Globetrotter. Haynes passed away in May 2015. Meadowlark Lemon, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003, passed away in December 2015. Curly Neal, who in February 2008 became just the fifth Globetrotter to ever have his jersey retired, passed in 2020. Goose Tatum passed away in the late 1960s, and he was posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame in August 2011. Sweet Lou Dunbar is a Globetrotters coach, sharing 40-plus years of Globetrotter experience with a new generation of players.

After nearly every Globetrotters game, the players will sign autographs in the arena for a limited amount of time after the final buzzer sounds (called the 5th Quarter). It is our goal that every fan will walk away with at least one autograph and a lasting memory.

Yes. In fact, the Globetrotters have lost 345 games over the course of nine decades. However, after the 27,000th win, the Globetrotters do own the best winning percentage (.987) in the history of professional sports.

They are real basketball games. The Harlem Globetrotters and their rivals both play to win, but the Globetrotters do mix in their signature style of show basketball that will entertain fans of all ages.

Children 2 years old or younger do not need a ticket and can sit on their guardian's lap.

The Harlem Globetrotters partners very closely with our individual venue partners. Unless the venue has specific restrictions against bringing in outside items, the Harlem Globetrotters allows fans to bring 1 ball to each game for autographs. That said, we do recommend reaching out to the individual venue to confirm if they have any other restrictions.

Get closer than courtside with the MVP Court Pass! Join the Pre-Game Fan Tunnel to welcome the Harlem Globetrotters to the floor, step into the Pre-Game Huddle, warm up with the team, and watch the famous Globetrotters Magic Circle from just feet away. This is MVP access on another level, and the perfect way to make a memory you'll talk about for years to come. With just 16 passes per game, this is the most exclusive 20 minutes in the arena.

Check in at the announcer's table 30 mins prior to the game start. Late arrivals will not be refunded. All participants must have their own MVP Court Pass - no exceptions. Children under 10 must be with an adult who also has an MVP Court Pass. Soft or rubber-soled shoes required. This premium upgrade is not included with your game ticket. Don't miss your chance to be part of the Rivalry as an MVP!

Get closer to the action with the all-new Ultimate Fan Pass - a limited-capacity, 30-minute pregame on-court experience featuring the Harlem Globetrotters and their Rivals. Be first through the doors and first on the court, where you get exclusive access up close with the players, learn trick shots from the pros, get one-of-a-kind photos, and kick off your own tip-off party before the rest of the crowd arrives. Ultimate Fan Pass guests also get first access to the merchandise stands before the lines form.  A separate game ticket is required and is not included with this experience. Minors must be accompanied by an adult who also holds an Ultimate Fan Pass. Soft- or rubber-soled shoes are required on court.  The on-court experience begins 90 minutes before game time. Late arrivals may miss some or all of the experience and are not eligible for refunds.
