Jet Rivers

Latif “Jet” Rivers is known for his high-flying performances as he enters his 10th year with the Harlem Globetrotters. Jet previously played at Wagner College whose head coach at the time was the legendary Dan Hurley. Jet was initially a Washington General, but was quickly acknowledged by the Globetrotters and switched teams after his rookie season. His energy as a leader is contagious and it very much affects the team at large to get them going before their big game!

His work ethic goes beyond basketball as he is a spokesperson for social issues and equality. Jet also recently published a children’s book titled “My Home and Where I’m From”, a story of a kid named Jalen embracing his upbringing and appreciating his hometown. Jet strongly believes that education is the foundation to making everlasting change in the world and strives to teach the youth. 

Aside from writing and sports, Jet is an advocate for social issues and women’s rights. He displays this by attending events and speaking out when given the chance
