Travion “Diesel” Kirkendoll is known for breaking records and raising the bar. The legendary player set and still holds the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference all-time scoring title with 1,920 points from his alma mater at Centenary College of Louisiana. Becoming a Globetrotter didn’t happen overnight. Diesel credits his grandparents and parents for helping him become who he is today. “All of their love, support, and their sacrifices have made me the man I am today, and I could never thank them enough,” Diesel says. Playing in front of his family in his hometown as a Globetrotter remains “one of the most heartwarming things I’ve ever experienced.”
When he’s not on the court, you can catch him watching games of one of his favorite players, Kyrie Irving, spending quality time with his family, or prioritizing self-care to pour back into himself.
Diesel cherishes the opportunity to give back to his community as well. He founded a personal development brand called We Are King David and a non-profit, WAKD Foundation Inc., both dedicated to inspiring hope, faith, and purpose. Through events and initiatives like free community basketball camps, mental health advocacy, and back-to-school drives, he aims to uplift and empower individuals — especially youth.
In 2025, Travion added “author” to his journey with the release of his debut book, Built in the Dark, a powerful reflection on faith, resilience, and unseen preparation.
