You don’t get the nickname “High Rise” for nothing, as Coach Hardy’s 48-inch vertical leap made him one of the greatest dunkers in basketball history, not just with the Globetrotters. As a 3-time NAIA Slam Dunk Champion, Coach’s hops continue to be legendary. Those hops helped him lead his Brigham Young University-Hawaii team to the NAIA Final Four in his junior year.

Coach Hardy is a great example of how the Globetrotters are a lifelong commitment and family, as Coach has served in various positions with the team for almost 30 years, including being an Ambassador of Goodwill and working in the marketing department.

Coach Hardy’s well-rounded experience in the Globetrotter organization makes him an ideal leader for the team now. He uses that connection to the past of this legendary team to inspire the current and future members to remember where this team came from and how to make a life and career out of that first love of basketball.
