Players ‘Zeus’ McClurkin, ‘Too Tall’ Winston and ‘Scooter’ Christensen surprised ‘Great Assist®️’ award recipient at local Boys & Girls Club.

The Harlem Globetrotters are known as goodwill ambassadors with incredible skills on and off the court. When you look closely, they all involve ‘Great Assist®️’. In partnership with Jersey Mike’s Subs, the Harlem Globetrotters are celebrating youth sports and organizations in local communities that are pursuing the possibilities of greatness by exemplifying LEADERSHIP, SPORTSMANSHIP, and COMMITMENT.

The organization kicked off the team’s newest community initiative at the Daniels-Mardak Boys & Girls Club in Milwaukee, WI with area youth and one special individual who exemplified the ‘Great Assist®️’, Troy Cotton. On hand to recognize the club’s area manager, was Globetrotters Scooter Christensen, Zeus McClurkin and Too Tall Winston. Cotton and his staff serve more than 80 kids with academic enrichment, healthy meals, and fun activities daily at each center throughout the Greater Milwaukee area. Troy is a true leader for the Clubs, and we're excited to recognize him as the recipient of the ‘Great Assist®️’ award.

Youth in attendance for the big reveal received a meal from Globetrotters’ tour sponsor, Jersey Mike’s, before joining the team on the court for ball handling skills, trick shots and the famous magic circle.

The Harlem Globetrotters ‘Great Assist®️’ furthers the Globetrotters brand commitment to spread Joy as they travel around the world to help grow, inspire and learn from communities and partners that are making a difference.
