COVID-19 UPDATE: We are still on an extended timeout for the remaining dates of our 2020 live tour. For now, we will keep creating new ways to stay connected with you.
Harlem Globetrotter Dragon Taylor finds it very easy to describe the feeling he has being a part of the world’s most famous team. “It feels phenomenal doing something I love and making other people smile while doing it,” he says.
An extremely gifted athlete – he sports a 45-inch vertical leap and can run a 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds – Dragon was a bit of a late bloomer as a basketball player, as he excelled at football and didn’t take to basketball until his early teens. When he turned his focus to hoops, however, he became an all-conference player and a top 40 prospect in his home state of Illinois. He went on to play at Northern Michigan University, where he led the school in scoring and rebounding in 2012, and he played later that year in the NBA Development League.
As part of 2020 Guinness World Records Day, Dragon set a new record title for the highest throw and catch of a spinning basketball (20 feet and 1 inch). When he’s not entertaining fans around the world with his rim-rattling dunks, Dragon likes to spend time with his dog and eight fish. Fruit is his favorite healthy snack – he particularly likes strawberries, grapes and watermelon.
Dragon is very handy and enjoys building furniture from scratch and loves to cook and barbeque. He also owns a 60-gallon saltwater reef tank and grows corals.
