COVID-19 UPDATE: We are still on an extended timeout for the remaining dates of our 2020 live tour. For now, we will keep creating new ways to stay connected with you.
Dazzle Kidoń is the first Harlem Globetrotter player ever from Poland, and the first Globetrotter ever to be discovered at one of the team’s pre-game Magic Pass events.
During the Globetrotters tour through Poland in 2019, Kidoń….well, dazzled the Globetrotters with his ball-handling skills at one of the team’s post-game meet and greets. It wasn’t until after that that he revealed to the team that he was actually a world freestyle basketball champion. “I’d dreamed about wearing a Harlem Globetrotter jersey one day, and I wanted to show the world my skills as a Harlem Globetrotter.”
He did; the YouTube video of his performance has been viewed nearly a million times. And now he’ll begin his first season as one of the star ball handlers on the world’s most famous team.
“I was very shy as a little boy, and basketball helped me express myself and overcome my weaknesses,” says Dazzle, who was also a three-time Polish Freestyle Basketball champion. “Also, performing basketball freestyle helped me overcome my stress before performing in front of an audience, and thanks to that I was able to visit many countries.” “For me, this is really a dream come true."
Dazzle was a part of a first ever visit to the United Nations headquarters in New York City with his Globetrotter teammates in November 2019. His historic signing with the Globetrotters was announced on NBC’s “Today Show” in November 2019.
