Hall of Fame team helps open Maryland’s newest arena

(PHOENIX, April 19, 2013) – The world famous Harlem Globetrotters will make history at Towson University as the first ever sporting events in the brand new state-of-the-art Tiger Arena.  The Globetrotters will bring their unmatched family entertainment to Towson for three games in three days:

Wednesday, June 19, at 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, June 20, at 7:00 p.m.

Friday, June 21, at 7:00 p.m.

“There is no better way for the Globetrotters and our fans to tip-off summer than to open up a brand new, world-class arena,” said Globetrotters CEO Kurt Schneider.  “The anticipation of Tiger Arena’s grand opening, combined with our style of high energy family entertainment, will make June 19-21 three days to remember.”

The Globetrotters will be the first public events in Tiger Arena following Towson University’s graduation activities.  Tiger Arena will be the future home to Towson basketball, gymnastics and volleyball.

The games in Towson will be a continuation of the Globetrotters’ 2013 “You Write the Rules” World Tour, where fans can select the rules they want to see in each game.  New rules include playing with two basketballs at once, getting double the points for each basket made and more.  Fans can choose their favorite rule HERE.
