Single Game Free Throw Record Shattered

Special K of the Harlem Globetrotters scored a record setting 59 free throws in one game last night against the International Elite, despite the fact that he was only fouled twice.

"I was fouled twice and made all four of my free throws, but I was also the designated free throw shooter tonight.  Whenever anyone else was fouled, I got to shoot the free throws.  It was great!" said Special K.

Special K explained how, because of the designated free throw shooting rule, he's the only one who needs to work on his free throws, and shoots 500 after every practice.  The Globetrotters were fouled a total of 35 times in last night's game resulting in 74 attempts at the line.  Special K connected on 59 of them putting him at the top of the list for most free throws made in a single game.
