Help the Globetrotters Celebrate Family Day Monday, September 24

Celebrate Family Day by eating dinner with your family Monday, September 24

The Globetrotters are proud to be involved with Family Day: A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Children™, which will take place this Monday, September 24th.  The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University (CASAColumbia™), started Family Day in 2001 when they noticed through research that the more often children eat dinner with their families, the less likely they are to smoke, drink or use drugs.  Teens who eat more consistently with their families are also likelier to get better graders and report they have an excellent relationships with their parents.

Family Day has been celebrated nationwide since its inception and will be celebrated again, Monday, September 24th.  You can show your support for Family Day by logging onto and taking the Family Day Star Pledge:

• Spend time with your kids by having dinner together

• Talk to them about their friends, interests and the dangers of drugs and alcohol

• Answer their questions and listen to what they say

• Recognize that YOU have the power to keep your kids substance-free!

The Globetrotters are a family.  We spend countless hours together eating meals, traveling the world and entertaining millions of fans along the way.  We're proud to support Family Day and encourage you to help celebrate with us on Monday, September 24 by eating dinner with your family.
