Globetrotters Receive Assist From Amazing Half-Court Shooting Cheerleader

(Friday, February 22, 2013) On the same day the Cheerleader “flip shot” went viral, Harlem Globetrotters star Firefly Fisher was in Hattiesburg, Miss., promoting their local game set to take place next Wednesday.

Firefly met up with the newly famous cheerleader, Ashlee Arnau, on the court at Reed Green Coliseum.  For all those who thought it was a fluke, Ashlee, in Firefly's words, is 'the real deal'!  Ashlee successfully repeated the same shot, and in turn, Firefly nailed his own half court shot.  Ashlee even taught Firefly how to do a cartwheel –which resulted in his own (almost as impressive) rendition of her famous shot.

Ashlee will attempt to repeat the shot again in front of a live audience at the Globetrotters’ game in Hattiesburg on Wednesday, Feb. 27.  As Ambassadors of Goodwill™, the Globetrotters donated 100 tickets in Ashlee’s name to those affected by the recent tornados in Hattiesburg last week.
