Get to Know the Rookies: Prince

In the Globetrotters 'Get to Know the Rookies' series, we will get up close and personal with the Harlem Globetrotters 2013 Rookie Class.  Hailing from five states, this talented group of rookies features record holders, dunk contest participants and some talented females.  We've asked each of them to share some stories with us, so without further adieu, let's get to know your rookies! this week... 

Andre 'Prince' Johnson
The Facts:

Birthday: 1/3/89
Age: 23
Hometown: Detroit, Michigan
College: Vermilion Community College and Oakland Community College

The Questions:

How and when did you get introduced to basketball? Prince: My big brother introduced me to the game and I've been playing ever since.

As a child, who was your role model? Prince: My big brother, Anthony, because he went off to the Navy to help support us.

What's a unique thing about you that many people don't know? Prince:  I can jump and dunk from the free throw line.  Also, I was a great football player in high school.

What do you do to stay in shape? Prince:  I run for miles and I try to stay on the court.

If you weren't playing basketball, what would you like to be doing? Prince:  I would probably try to coach either basketball or football.
