Dizzy Grant Shows His "Soft Side" to Help End Animal Abuse

Harlem Globetrotter Dizzy Grant and his dog Saber are the newest faces of "Show Your Soft Side," a campaign in the City of Baltimore developed to combat animal abuse.

Dizzy and Saber, a two-and-a-half year old pure bred Boxer, will be the subject of billboards, print ads, and posters that make the point, “Only a punk would hurt a cat or a dog.”  Dizzy is one of four professional athletes to pose with their pets for this worthwhile cause, joining Baltimore Raven Jarret Johnson, Baltimore Oriole Adam Jones, and MMA fighter John Rallo.

"Show Your Soft Side" is a campaign developed to combat the alarming incidence of animal abuse in Baltimore.  The goal of “Show Your Soft Side” is to reach kids early because research shows that kids who abuse animals often graduate to even more violent crimes. Dizzy and his teammates return to Baltimore on Friday, Dec. 30, as part of the Globetrotters Opening Week of their newest World Tour.
