Barry Hardy
Known for his 48-inch vertical leap during his seven-year Globetrotter playing career, Barry “High Rise” Hardy is now in his ninth season as a coach.
Hardy played six seasons with the Globetrotters from 1993-1999, then returned to the team for the 2006 World Tour. Tremendous leaping ability and dunking prowess made him a fan favorite during his playing days. Hardy also worked three seasons as an advance Ambassador of Goodwill™ for the Globetrotters, as well as one year with the organization’s marketing department.
Hardy was a four-year letterman at Brigham Young University-Hawaii, where, as a three-time slam dunk champion, he earned a reputation as one of the nation’s top leapers. He helped lead the school to the NAIA Final Four and graduated with a degree in business management.
Coach Hardy enjoys fishing and spending time with his children when he’s away from the basketball court.
