Al Clocker
Entering his 12th season with the Harlem Globetrotters in 2017, Al Clocker serves as the Director of Scouting for the world’s most traveled team. The Wilkes-Barre, Pa., native is responsible for the majority of Globetrotter player recruitment and transactions, and is actively involved in the team’s annual player draft.
Clocker has 40-plus years experience in basketball at both the professional and amateur levels, serving as a head coach, scout, referee and administrator at various levels. He began his professional career as a player in the late 1970’s in the Eastern Basketball Association as a member of the Hazelton-Shore Bullets after a standout college career at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre. Clocker also coached in the Atlantic Basketball Association and United States Basketball League for over 15 seasons and was a head coach at Misericordia College in Dallas, Pa.,for two seasons in the 1980s.
In addition to his scouting duties, Clocker also serves as a tour general manager for the Globetrotters.
