7'8" Harlem Globetrotter "Tiny" nearly takes down the basket during a game against the Harvard Lampoon on Bow Street, near the Lampoon Castle on the campus of Harvard University. After the game, the Lampoon inducted the Globetrotters as honorary members, joining a distinguished list that includes Bill Cosby, John Wayne, James Brown, Robin Williams, Aerosmith, Billy Crystal, and the cast of Saturday Night Live. The Globetrotters game at Harvard added to a long history of performing in unique settings around the world, including on an ice rink, in the dark with glow-in-the-dark uniforms, on beaches, in bullrings, in empty swimming pools, inside of a mountain, on aircraft carriers, and even at the Vatican in Rome. Founded in 1876, the Harvard Lampoon is the world's oldest continually published humor magazine. The Lampoon has many accomplished alumni including Conan O'Brien, BJ Novak, John Updike, George Plimpton, and William Randolph Hearst and is responsible for the creation of the National Lampoon. Most recently, the Lampoon has produced the best-selling Twilight parody Nightlight, and a parody of The Hunger Games, the current New York Times best-seller The Hunger Pains.
