Biography:
First-year Globetrotter dunking phenom Cobra Coley seemingly lives above the rim. At the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, he led the 49ers in dunks, blocks and rebounds as a senior. Cobra missed winning the 2009 College Slam Dunk Championship by a single point in a dunk-off. His flare and ability to pump up the crowd caught the eyes of Globetrotter scouts, and he was selected in the team’s third annual player draft.

Cobra sports a 40-inch vertical leap and has touched as high as 11 feet, nine inches on the backboard.  Dominique Wilkins is one of Cobra’s all-time favorite dunkers, but even the “Human Highlight Film” might not have tried dunking while jumping over a car, which Cobra once did on a playground in Miami.  “The car was sideways, not the long way,” Cobra chuckles.

A great all-around athlete while growing up, Cobra also ran track and played baseball, volleyball and football, a sport which he feels he could still be playing if not flying up and down the hardwood with the world’s most famous basketball team.

Cobra enjoys videos games and fishing, and seeing him soar to the hoop might remind you of some of the mid-air moves from his favorite movie, “The Matrix.”
