When Scooter left the University of Montana as an all-conference player, he joined up with the Phoenix Suns as their video guy. Occasionally the Suns would let him out on the court as a practice player for the team to scrimmage against. One day a Globetrotter scout showed up to watch the Suns practice and was like, "Who's that dude who's totally owning the court?" And the Suns were like, "Amar'e Stoudemire?" "No." "Stephon Marbury?" "No." "Uh, you mean our video guy?" "That's him!" The Globetrotters signed Scooter, and now he holds the world record time for spinning a basketball on his head AND for spinning one on his nose. The Suns never could defend that move.
