HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS BRING INAUGURAL SUMMER FESTIVAL TO NORTHERN MICHIGAN JULY 31-AUGUST 4

The Original Harlem Globetrotters are a worldwide Icon, synonymous with family entertainment and great basketball skills will play 4 spectacular games, 2 one hour Preview Shows, clinics and their Legend Series Speaking Tour during the 5 day stay.  The entire Festival is coordinated by the YMCA of Northern Michigan.

HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS GAMES:  All Games showcase high flying dunks, unbelievable dribbling skills and an entertaining brand of basketball that is fun for the entire family.

GLOBETROTTER PREVIEW:  The World Famous Harlem Globetrotters bring their high flying basketball skills and amazing athletes to Mackinac Island, featuring some of their best material.  Be sure to see this one hour limited engagement for comedy basketball at it best.

THE HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS LEGEND SERIES: This one hour speaking engagement will feature Globetrotter legends Curly Neal and Sweet Lou Dunbar. Fans will experience a once in a lifetime chance to meet and hear firsthand about life as a world famous Harlem Globetrotter. The Legends will share exciting and humorous stories from their favorite touring days, precious Globetrotter lore, team highlights and more.

GLOBETROTTER CLINICS: 1-hour basketball clinics coached by actual stars from the HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS! This new active and fun program comes from the team who parents trust to play sport with a positive and supportive attitude. An awesome and rewarding experience your kids will never forget!

The entire schedule for the Summer Festival include:

  • Tuesday, July 31 Preview Shows at Mackinac Island High School
    • 2 one hour Preview Shows from 11am-noon and 1pm-2pm
    • Tickets - General Admission tickets are $20 and on sale in advance at the Mackinac Island Tourism Office or Ticketweb.com. Tickets also at the High School the day of the Previews
  • Wed. Aug. 1 - Harlem Globetrotters Game at Harbor Springs High School at 7pm.
    • Tickets: Game tickets are $25 and available in advance at Ticketweb.com, Harbor Springs Chamber of Commerce, the YMCA of Northern Michigan or the day of the game at the High School.
  • Thurs. Aug. 2 - Bay View Clinics and Legend Series.
    • 2 one hour Globetrotter Clinics at 9:45am and 10:45am. In conjunction with the Bay View Association. Tickets at Bay View Box office at Voorhies Hall. Registered campers are free and all others are $15. Registration is limited and must be accompanied with a Globetrotter medical/release waiver.
    • The Harlem Globetrotters Legend Series at John M. Hall Auditorium. Tickets start at $20 and are at the Bay View Box Office at Voorhies Hall or http://bayviewfestival.tix.com. Tickets are limited.
  • Thurs. Aug. 2 - Harlem Globetrotters Game at Petoskey High School.
    • Tickets: Game tickets are $25 and in advance at Petoskey Chamber of Commerce, the Bay View Box Office at Voorhies Hall, http://bayviewfestival.tix.com, the YMCA of Northern Michigan and Ticketweb.com. Tickets available the day of the game at Petoskey High School.
  • Fri. Aug. 3 - Harlem Globetrotters Game at Charlevoix High School
    • Tickets: Game tickets are $25 and in advance at Charlevoix Chamber of Commerce, the YMCA of Northern Michigan in Petosky and Ticketweb.com. Tickets available the day of the game at Charlevoix High School.
  • Sat. Aug. 4-Harlem Globetrotters Game at Petoskey High School
    • A return visit to Petoskey High School. Game tickets are $25 and in advance at Petoskey Chamber of Commerce, the Bay View Box Office at Voorhies Hall, http://bayviewfestival.tix.com, the YMCA of Northern Michigan and Ticketweb.com. Tickets available the day of the game at Petoskey High School.
