Summer Clinics FAQ - New for 2014
WHAT IS A HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS SUMMER CLINIC?
A Globetrotters Summer Clinic is a fun-filled two hour basketball clinic sessions run by two stars of the Harlem Globetrotters who motivate, coach and inspire kids. Our stars are professional basketball players, trained and experienced in working with and encouraging kids of all ages and abilities. Players will teach kids fun lessons both on and off the court. Kids will experience games, tricks, fundamentals, teamwork and plenty of laughs in the two hour session. Clinic sizes will be strictly limited. 24 Hour Fitness staff will be on hand to assist. Read the programming run down for a typical clinic HERE.
HOW ARE THE CLINICS DESIGNED TO BE FUN FOR KIDS?
These clinics are the only place where kids share the court with Globetrotter stars, laughing along as they learn from them. The program has been specially created with fun for elementary into middle school kids in mind, and with input from parents and the players themselves.
- Every clinic includes time for autographs and photographs with the players
- Every kid will leave with a personal certificate and his or her own Globetrotter nickname.
- Every kid gets a ticket voucher for a complimentary ticket to the 2015 World Tour (valued up to $40).
- Every clinic includes motivational talks by Globetrotter players on bullying prevention, teamwork and character development.
ARE THE CLINICS JUST FOR EXPERIENCED BASKETBALL PLAYERS?
Our clinic programming is designed to be fun for ALL kids. Players will group participants by age and comfort level with the sport and adjust activities for each clinic to keep it fun for the kids involved.
CAN PARENTS/GUARDIANS STAY AND WATCH?
Parents are welcome to stay at the facility and use the free 3-day gym pass that comes with each clinic registration. Space may be limited to stay and watch, so we suggest you call the 24 Hour Fitness facility ahead of time to ensure you can be accommodated. Parents are encouraged to return to the gym 20 minutes before the end of the session for the autograph and photo opportunity and to bring a camera so they can take a photo with the players.
WHAT'S THE PRICE?
$69 per kid for a 2 hour Summer Clinic session. Fee must be paid at time of registration.
CAN I REGISTER MY KID FOR MULTIPLE SESSIONS?
Yes. After you add your first session, you can add additional sessions when you're in your Shopping Cart with the "Look for other events" button.
HOW DO I REGISTER MULTIPLE KIDS (OR SIBLINGS) FOR THE SAME SESSION?
Currently, you can only register one child at a time. Complete the entire transaction for the first child and then register the second, thired, etc children each in separate transactions. We're working to allow multiple child registrations in the same transaction but that feature is currently unavailable.
IS THERE A CLINIC HOTLINE FOR REGISTRATIONS OVER THE PHONE?
Yes, our clinic hotline for registrations over the phone is 877-718-3376.
DO YOU OFFER GROUP DISCOUNTS OR PACKAGES?
Email email@example.com for more details.
CAN I REGISTER MY KID ON THE DAY?
Yes, subject to availability. Last year clinics did sell out and registration was closed in advance so we do not recommend waiting until the actual day to register.
MY KIDS ARE UNDER 6 OR OVER 12, CAN THEY PARTICIPATE?
Clinics are open to boys and girls, 6 – 12. We find that working with kids of this age gives everyone the best experience. We will group kids according to ability and age on the day. Older and younger kids are welcome to come see us live on our next world tour.
ARE CLINICS ONLY OPEN TO MEMBERS OF 24 HOUR FITNESS?
Registration is open to members and non-members. We will give an accompanying parent/guardian a free 3 days pass to 24 Hour Fitness for them to try the facility for him or herself!
HOW DO I REDEEM MY TICKET VOUCHER?
You will be able to redeem your Summer Clinic ticket voucher for a ticket (valued up to $40) for any show on our 2015 North American Tour. The voucher can not be used as a credit towards a more expensive ticket. The full schedule will be posted on our website in October 2014. We will notify all participants via email when the schedule is out. Follow the following steps to redeem your voucher for a ticket:
1) PLEASE KEEP YOUR VOUCHERS IN A SAFE PLACE. You will need to trade the physical voucher in for a ticket. No exceptions.
2) When our schedule is posted, find the venue (game) you would like to attend.
3) When tickets go on-sale for the game at that venue, you must take your voucher to the venue box office where you will be able to trade it in for an actual ticket. If additional tickets are needed, you may purchase them at this time. Please don't wait until the day of the game to redeem your voucher. The earlier you redeem your voucher for tickets, the better seats you'll be able to get.
If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
All sales are final.
