Spreading Smiles on Labor Day

Special K and Firefly surprised some very special people this Labor Day.

It wasn't a typical Labor Day for Special K and Firefly of the Harlem Globetrotters.  It was better.  Instead of games or practice, they got to spread smiles miles away from home in the Dominican Republic.  They spent the day on the Harlem Globetrotters Smile Patrol™ with kids at the St. Jude's Hospital in the Dominican Republic.  During their visit, they were able to show the kids some of their basketball tricks, teach a few as well, sign autographs and share some laughs.

Smile Patrol™ is the Harlem Globetrotters' proprietary hospital outreach program designed to brighten the day and lift the spirits of some very special fans unable to attend a Globetrotters game. Smile Patrol™ visits over 200 children's hospitals worldwide annually, spreading joy and creating lifetime memories.
