September 25, 2012 A Lovetown Surprise

The Harlem Globetrotters recently made a surprise visit to the Methodist Home for Children and Youth in Georgia, helping the teen boys break in a new basketball court by shooting baskets and teaching them their trademark ball handling wizardry.  The moment was captured by Oprah Winfrey’s Television Network (OWN) for the popular series “Lovetown, USA.”

Globetrotters star Bull Bullard told his childhood story to the young men of being raised in the foster care system and that they should never give up on their dreams and aspirations.  At the end of the visit, the Globetrotters gave the boys Spalding basketballs and Russell gear and signed autographs before getting back on the road to their world tour.
