GLOBETROTTERS SPECIAL A RATINGS SLAM DUNK

“New Generation” Special Scores on MyNetworkTV with 2.4 million viewers

(PHOENIX, Feb. 1, 2008)Harlem Globetrotters: A New Generation, the Globetrotters’ return to national television after a 14-year absence, was a ratings slam dunk on MyNetworkTV, drawing 2.4 million viewers.  The special, which aired Monday, January 28 from 8-9 p.m. ET, delivered a 1.5 national household rating.  In addition, the Globetrotters’ special also set records that included:

*        Garnering all-time MyNetworkTV highs in adult viewers ages 25-54 (1,200,000) and male viewers ages 25-54 (705,000).
*        Tied as the second-highest rated all-time broadcast on MyNetworkTV.
*        Attracted the most adult male viewers for a special in network history, with 1.1 million males age 18 and over.
*        Notched all-time highs for a MyNetwork special for male viewers 12-17 (1.2 rating) and for males in each of the 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 demographics.

The special featured the Globetrotters taking on their arch-rival Washington Generals, as well as exclusive interviews with Globetrotter legends Curly Neal and favorite Globetrotter memories from NY Giants defensive lineman Michael Strahan, former NBA star Reggie Miller, actor Samuel L. Jackson, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, and many others.
