Phoenix-based Harlem Globetrotters International, Inc., has announced the opening of a brand new satellite office in Beijing, China, in conjunction with a multi-game China tour in the month of July. Throughout the brand’s history, the Globetrotters have showcased their iconic talents in 120 countries and territories on six continents, and this rings in a new millennium and expansion of the brand’s corporate outreach overseas.
“We are dedicated long-term to building the Harlem Globetrotters brand in China,” says Globetrotters CEO Kurt Schneider. “China is an extremely unique culture, and the Globetrotters are a unique business and entertainment entity, making this a great opportunity to further increase our global outreach for our fans around the world.”
The Globetrotters are committed to creating a year-round presence internationally on multiple platforms to compliment their successful live events, such as sponsorship, licensing, digital content, TV, and merchandising. The double-digit city tour of China in July is a prelude to a December tour that will include performances in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
