Globetrotters rookie sensation sets new mark of 109 feet 9 inches in celebration of Guinness World Records Day
Trend setters and innovators of the game of basketball for decades, the iconic Harlem Globetrotters have added another in a long line of amazing feats, as Globetrotters rookie Thunder Law today smashed the official Guinness World Records® record for the longest basketball shot – connecting from 109 feet 9 inches, besting the old mark of 104 feet 7 inches, set nearly three years ago.
Law broke the record at US Airways Center in Phoenix, home of the Phoenix Suns, as part of the ninth annual Guinness World Records Day.
“Wow! It’s definitely an honor as a rookie to represent my team, the Harlem Globetrotters, and break the record for the world’s longest basketball shot,” said Thunder. “The Globetrotters make phenomenal trick shots at our shows every night, so if you want to see more spectacular feats, you have to come out and see us live.”
