 In the Globetrotters 'Get to Know the Rookies' series, we will get up close and personal with the Harlem Globetrotters 2013 Rookie Class.  Hailing from five states, this talented group of rookies features record holders, dunk contest participants and some talented females.  We've asked each of them to share some stories with us, so without further adieu, let's get to know your rookies! this week...

Ariel 'Mighty' Mitchell

The Facts:

Birthday: 7/26/89
Age: 23
Hometown: Houma, Louisiana
College: Dillard University

The Questions:

Did you play any other sports growing up?
Mighty: Growing up I played softball and ran track.  My passion took over the game of basketball while watching my cousin, Craig, play.  I fell in love and decided to excel in that particular sport.

What advice can you give to young aspiring athletes?
Mighty: To not only look at basketball and yourself as just a sport and athlete.  Learn how to become a better person.  Push yourself not only to become a good person, but a great person.

Which reality show should you appear on and why?
Mighty: The Great Food Truck Race to test my culinary skills.

What's your pregame ritual?
Mighty: Taking 10 minutes to simply call my parents.

If I was a celebrity chef, my signature dish would be...
Mighty: Shrimp stew
