Dizzy's Surprise Encounter Walking Down the Street

(Feb. 11, 2013 – Seattle, WA) --- While preparing for games in Seattle this weekend, world famous Harlem Globetrotter Dizzy Grant shared a fun moment with legendary musician Dave Matthews.  Dizzy was arriving to St. Benedict’s School in Seattle when Matthews was walking nearby in the neighborhood.

Upon seeing Dizzy, Matthews commented “Is that really a Globetrotter?”  Dizzy looked over and replied, “Are you really Dave Matthews?”

During their conversation, Matthews shared his fond memories of seeing the Globetrotters at Madison Square Garden as a kid in NYC.

With three tours travelling at the same time, the Globetrotters ironically play The Garden this weekend.  Between Feb. 15-18, the Globetrotters “You Write the Rules” World Tour will play six games in the NYC area, four games in the Seattle area, and four games in the Los Angeles area.

The two entertainers snapped a photo together (attached).  Dizzy continued on with his school visit, where he presented “The ABCs of Bullying Prevention” to elementary students.
