August 09, 2012 All-time Harlem Globetrotters Dream Team Announced
The Harlem Globetrotters Dream Team starting five chosen by the Globetrotter Nation.
Last month the Harlem Globetrotters called upon the Globetrotter Nation to help solve a problem. Out of all the legendary players to don a Harlem Globetrotters jersey, who would be the starting five on our Dream Team? The Globetrotter Nation has spoken and after over 6,000 votes on the Harlem Globetrotters Facebook page, we have our starting five.
1. Magic Johnson: Led the Globetrotters in 1997 to defeat the College All-Stars team with 9 NBA Draft picks 126-114.
2. Wilt Chamberlain: Skipped his senior season at Kansas to join the Harlem Globetrotters beginning his professional basketball career.
3. Goose Tatum: The original "Clown Prince of Basketball".
4. Curly Neal: Curly is one of only five Harlem Globetrotters with a retired jersey.
5. Lynette Woodward: First female ever to play for the Harlem Globetrotters.
How would they do against the '92 Dream Team? Team USA 2012? It's up to you to decide.
